Quality Roofing and Protection: How We Serve El Paso Homeowners

When thinking about the things we are grateful for, it’s no accident that the expression “having a roof over our heads” is often used. This is, of course, because a roof is emblematic for having shelter and for providing safety and comfort, but it is not only a symbol; it is very real. A bad or leaky roof not only endangers your home and investment but it can also put your family at risk. Having a dependable roof benefits your health and peace of mind, all while protecting your home itself. It’s why at Smith and Ramirez, we focus on providing the El Paso community with quality roofing services.

We Continue to Provide Our Services to the Sun City Amid the Pandemic

At the time of this writing, El Paso and the rest of the country are still seeing the effects of the coronavirus outbreak. This means that many people continue to shelter in place and spend a lot more time under their roof. As this unprecedented response progresses, we continue to help El Paso families protect their roofs during this tough time. Unfortunately, roof problems and leaks don’t take a vacation!

This situation has certainly led to people having some time to think about the important things in life. Perhaps you’re spending quality time with family, or maybe you’ve started to clear out the old closets and garage. At the same time, this unprecedented time has given homeowners a chance to think about their homes as something they really need to protect and cherish. It’s why purchases at home improvement stores remain strong all throughout the pandemic. After all, our homes aren’t just where we spend our time, they’re what keeps our families safe!

A good roof means safety. It means comfort and safeguarding your loved ones and our property. The value of a good roof extends far beyond monetary value.

Habitat for Humanity: Serving the El Paso Community Through Outreach

We are very proud of our El Paso community and know we’ll get through this together.  Earlier this year, our company participated in a program called Habitat For Humanity. During a four-month period, Habitat for Humanity worked to build a home for a former Army infantryman named Christopher Lloyd. This young man served our country in Afghanistan and suffered injuries that have made returning to civilian life a little challenging. Smith and Ramirez Roofing participated by providing the roof for Christopher and his new home! Check out this link to see Christopher’s smile as he walks through his new home.

Being connected to the people of El Paso helps us do our job every day. This is also why we use only the best quality products and roofing materials. It’s also why we continue to serve despite difficult times. Last month, we discussed the durability and longevity of our roofing products. Let’s delve deeper and take a look at some of our warranty options and some of the commonly asked questions that we hear from time to time regarding our products.

Our Quality Roofs and the Protection They Offer For Years To Come

Many of our customers have told us that they are often confused about which warranty to get. For this reason, we’ve outlined a few answers to some of the most common questions we receive. You can also visit the GAF website for more information.

What do you all mean by “lifetime limited warranty”?

This is a good question! Plus, you hear this phrase all the time when it comes to warranties on other products or purchases. So what does it even mean? The word “lifetime” refers to the length of coverage provided by your GAF warranty. It’s necessary for you (the original owner) or the second owner (if the property was properly transferred) to own the property where it was installed.

When it comes to our coverage, the Lifetime Limited Warranty applies only to shingles and accessories installed on single-family detached residences. For other types of owners or buildings like corporations, government entities, religious entities, or homeowners association, school, apartment building, etc, the length of the warranty is 40 years.

Do I need to register my GAF warranty?

No. GAF Shingle Accessory Limited Warranty and GAF Roofing System Limited Warranty do not require registration.

What are the benefits of your GAF Roofing System Limited Warranty?

Well, we’re glad you asked. Not only is GAF one of the highest quality roofing systems available but as soon as you install GAF Lifetime Shingles plus at least three accessories, you are automatically eligible for the great coverage. This provides the same great coverage of our GAF shingle and accessory limited warranty but adds lifetime coverage on Qualifying Accessory Products.

So what is the Systems Plus Limited Warranty?

Another great question. This is the ultimate coverage, as it extends the GAF Roofing System Limited Warranty from ten years to fifty years and tear-off is included (when necessary).
